Feb 23rd 100-Man LAN Success!

Reporting on last night's LAN party, the Tech Club is proud to announce its latest event was successful. We hit our goal number of 100 attendees with over 35 computers, 4 projectors, and around 25 kilowatts of power.

Noted Difficulties:

• One hour console network downtime - We will have more backups next time

• 2 Circuits blown - We have designed a better load balance for the next event
• Ran out of power strips - We are ordering more
• About 3 computers total would not launch CS:S in offline mode, this is the rarest of our problems but does happen. We are looking into a fix for this.

Noted Positives:

• CS:S Crash fixed around 8 computers including one Intel!

• Our recently purchased mini-switches helped backup the console network after it failed. Close call, so we are obtaining more.
• Network cables renting went fine with no losses or conflicts.
• Capacity for another 20-30 guests, power and space wise.
• No personal equipment was damaged!

Our next event is being scheduled for March 23rd however, we will update the website when this is completely official. We are also planning this to be a charity event for Jon Card, a student at Voorhees High School that has cancer. More details to follow.
